Our Process Includes:

Take Inventory

An important first step in downsizing is to inventory your existing pieces, and take pictures and measurements. By looking at the floor plan, we identify what pieces will fit in your new space and take into consideration any outdated items that can be repurposed. Reupholstery is a great way to breathe new life into an older piece of furniture if we find it to be useful in your new space.

Space Planning

After we have taken inventory of your existing pieces that you’d like to keep, we then work on creating a space plan for your new home. We take many aspects into consideration when space planning, such as:

Paths of travel – It’s important to consider how you will move within your space to ensure proper flow.
Space allocation – Using the right amount of working space in each zone of your home is crucial, think cooking in your kitchen, watching TV in your family room, entry drop points, and more, as this will allow you to be comfortable in your space.
Focal points – When working with smaller spaces, a main focal point can elevate your space, and draw your eyes away from otherwise distracting elements.
Storage – We work with you to find creative storage solutions for all of your belongings.
Lighting – Adequate lighting, both natural and artificial, is essential to creating a well-lit and inviting atmosphere. Lighting can also affect your mood and the functionality of a space.

Product Procurement and Installation

The best part about working with us? You never have to lift a finger! Once approved, we hit the ground running and begin the product procurement process. We handle all of the ordering, logistics, and communication with our vendors. When everything has arrived, we will install all of the pieces to create your new space that you call home.
