King Township is located in the Greater Toronto Area in Ontario. It is mostly rural with a population of 24,512. The land itself was originally purchases from the Mississaugas in a deal known as the “Toronto Purchase.” There has also been archaeological evidence of Huron settlement in the area. King City and Nobleton are located within the township.

King Township Food Bank – The King Township Food Bank sets to give a week’s worth of food to those in need within King Township. When registering with the food bank, they will give you appropriate food supplies based on your family demographics, such as formula for infants.

King Township Public Library – With 4 libraries in its system, the King Township Public Library provides residents with print, digital, and other kinds of media as well as diverse programs and services such as exam proctoring and battery disposal.

King Township Historical Society – In 1972, the King Township Historical Society was founded to preserve the history of the area. The main goals of the society are to encourage research, preserve accurate accounts, and promote interest of the history of King Township.
